Award winning photographer Ken Drake is one of Perth’s leading pet portrait photography experts. His ability to earn your pet’s trust quickly, tied to his natural love of animals, enables him to capture the true character of your faithful friend.
Ken’s pet portraiture is driven by his twin passions for pets and for photography. Images of his own pets, Tian and Sophie the Golden Retrievers, and Will and Lucy the Maine Coon cats, adorn his walls at home. You will also see them amongst the pictures on this site.
He loves to be with the animals in their environment, wherever they feel most relaxed. If this means rolling around the park or getting wet on the beach, so be it, you can’t get good pet images without getting down to their level.
Ken is an emerging member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and as such is governed by their code of conduct. He uses Canon professional series digital SLR cameras and lenses, Canon and Bowen lighting equipment, and his experience, patience and passion to get the best possible images of your pets.
